ABOUT

As an Army brat, I moved nearly every year for the first 12 years of my life. I learned to meet people, make friends, and got to redecorate my room! (Hmm, my first environment design…) I also developed a love of travel, adventure and discovery. Living overseas, I learned that the U.S. is not the only country on the planet, and that there are other ways of speaking, getting around and doing everyday things.

I learned a new language and gained respect for my home as well as other countries. I believe these early experiences shaped me in important ways, introducing acceptance, flexibility, and perseverance.

Being raised in a Southern household regardless of our physical location, I learned courtesy and diplomacy, both of which have served me well in my chosen professions. As you read through my experience and qualifications, I hope this background will lend some color and dimension to the lists and dates.
